We say "I've embraced Christianity."

Besides 'embraced', what other words can be used?

Many thanks.

accepted, adopted. Each word has a slightly different shade of meaning, but are equally correct.

"Embrace" has a very positive emotional tone. Think of a person throwing his arms about his religion. Adopted and accepted are more neutral in emotional tone. To me adopted sounds more proactive, whereas accepted sounds more reactive.

Yoong Liat- I don't think that you have to be concerned about the different shades of meaning. All three words would be fine in the sentence's context.
