Well, I don't. I just wanted to say that I'm jealous of chobe, too. God damn.

And Aidan, we have played on the Trivia and Humour games but I always got off when you got on because you turned them from fun to ponderous, weighty issues. You should have started threads in Philosophy or somewhere else because it wasn't fun in the least.

Jespah tried to address the question, and Walter tried some time later.

Me, I enjoyed the word games in earlier days for the flying wit, but got impatient from the lack of it and left, no aspersion to McTag.

Fealola disappeared. Cav was the best of us and went and died. The Drom we knew, now missed. The Adrian thing, of course I remember it. The poster who never ever paid attention to haiku framework.
I'll check it out again one of these days.

So...is there anyone on this thread that wants to actually talk about the topic of the thread?

Is there anyway to find out how popular A2K is compared with other forums? Is it just another little blip, or is it more of a big bloop?

Jes told you if you look.

But, I agree with the sentiment.

From a question about the popularity of the site to dramas about personal popularity in seconds flat.

Well, it was a considerable flip.

Some went with the post after the post after, many read and rested, and some gave up and commented, including me now.

Of course Jespah answered the original question.

What fun is that?

Actually, I was cheered to see her show up with data - as that was the question. Probably the data is now enconced in a fine gelatine, awaiting chopping and purveyance from illustrious chefs. No, not ours at a2k, but the questioner's.

i enjoyed the lines on the graphs, in all their magnificent risibility, and i'm certain that regular contributors know how popular A2K is. Luckily I'm sporadic. ooo there i go again.

You ungrateful cur!

Okay, maybe I exaggerated a little to make a point. But there were times when nobody but me was going there, it seemed.

Mame, your posts are always good value. I've told you that before.

A Canadian gal name of Mame
Was sought-for in any word game
When she came on line
Everything seemed just fine
When she left, it all just seemed so tame....

You are reasonably untroubled by poetry comprised of metre, foot and rhyme.

It sounds like the typical elitest attitude brought on by mostly younger people on the internet trying to kind-of "take charge" on forums. I'm glad it hasn't driven people away from A2K.

What is the "It" you're referring to?

"It" was in reference to the false personal info and the attitude of "everyone else is insane but me" type remarks.

Oooops! It's not "comprised of", it's comprises or comprising.

There's a gent on these threads who's got to be
One of the finest for soliloquy
It matters not if he proses alone
Our intelligent friend is Trivia-prone
His name is McTag, whom you all must know
His mind is sharp and his tongue is more so
A good friend to have when you're in the mood
For a rollicking, roiling word-based feud!

I miss that stuff - maybe I'll pop in and visit those threads today.

I can't think of another place I'd like to post.

I joined to improve my writing skills and found some of the most intelligent and interesting folks on the internet. My views are not among the most popular, but I have never felt any animosity. Perhaps that is my thick skin.

Keep up the good stuff.

Below are stats for Able2know.com (the switch to the .org was very recent so the .com stats are still of interest):

Ah, there it is. Thanks, Jes. Do you know if that ranking is versus other internet forums, or is it against all websites?

I'm not popular.

I am a man.

I like spurious.

(I also like Muckty - very much, but not in a homo-erotic way)
