My workplace runs 24/7. My original shift was 9-5, but there have been staffing changes and I have accepted the inevitable -- an 11-to-7 time slot.
The thing is, on Fridays I have negotiated a 9-to-4 day... (my entire social life takes place on A2K and Fridays between 5 and 9). I left work at 7:30 tonite (it gets busy late) and got home at about 9:15.
I have to be at work at 8 tomorrow, because of a co-worker's vacation day. It's 11:20 and I'm nowhere near ready to sleep, but the alarm is set for 6, because I have to leave the house at 6:30 to be at work at 8.
YUCK!!!
What weird hours do you have to cope with?
I had to work a 3 PM to midnight shift a couple of weeks ago. Then last
week I worked 3 to midnight one day, noon to 9 PM the next, followed
by 10 AM to 7 PM, and finally two days of 8 AM to 6 PM.
I was totally out of synch. Every time I looked at my watch, I was
surprized.
