Baloon Accident
The basket did not tip. When the tether broke free the ballon shot up like a rocket. The wire it was trapped on then ripped the bottom corner of the basket open. There was a cloud of debris from the rip, then the woman fell down through the opening. There was nothing anyone could do. The balloon continued upward at a fast rate pushing the hot air out of it. It partially collapsed and crashed nerby.

I almost went up in a balloon once until I realized it was the Burst (Network) balloon.
November balloon sky
It's 7 am and there are several balloons in the sky, four directly over my home. One is a new one I've never seen before. A queen of hearts design. They are headed for the landing field near Dys, Diane and my homes. It's really cold up there so the pilots must be bundled up and drinking hot tea or coffee.

Yes, but at least there's no relative wind in a balloon. Besides, you can get a lot of lift in a hot air balloon on a cold day.

You are correct. I noticed the balloons' speed were faster than usual.
