Hello !
can u please explain to me "Intelligence Evaluation Committee" I mean, what is is specialisation and so... I found some info that say it was founded in 1970.. dunno exactly what it is !
Evaluation means the process of reviewing and weighing the truth and importance of an idea or of a report (in this context--to evaluate something physical, such as the worth of a work or art or a piece of jewelry, "truth" would not be an issue). The purpose of the intelligence evaluation committee is to review intelligence gathered by any one of several agencies, and to attempt to determine the reliability of the report, and its relative importance. The committee is made up of members of several intelligence agencies, and seeks to "harmonize" the views of these several agencies with regard to any particular intelligence report. I am assuming that this refers to the inter-agency committee in the United States. In the United States, intelligence is gathered by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the intelligence bureau of the National Security Agency (NSA--this organization is largely, but not exclusively, concerned with intelligence gathering, with respect to the national security of the United States), the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the various intelligence agencies of the armed forces.
