Is there such a word as 'weightage'? I can't find it in my dictionaries.
not that I've ever heard.
Can't say I've ever heard the word in normal conversation. I have heard "poundage" though.
Tonnage, yes. Weightage, no.
theatrette
What about 'theatrette'? I've seen the word written, but cannot found it in any of my dictionaries.
Thanks.
no - what's it supposed to mean?
Logically, it should mean a small theatre, but I've never seen that word in writing before, or heard someone use it. Probably a new, trendy word used by people of a more pretentious nature.

This word is in common usage here in Australia. It describes a small live stage production theater.
Weightage is not a word.

I found this:
Weightage
Definition
"Weightage function allows the coordinator to define the weightage and maximum mark for the module. E.g., 60% - Exam, 40% - Continuous Assessment (CA). Total weightage of the component must be equal to 100. This weightage should reflect the module weightage which was given to the student or as indicated in the module descriptions in IVLE websites."
Hi TTH
Did you find that in a school report book? It is commonly seen in school report books? But I can't find the word in dictionaries.
Hi TTH
But why can't the word be found in advanced dictionaries?
I am not sure but, I would guess that certain words are only found in specialized dictionaries.
For instance, I have a medical dictionary and words that are listed in it are not found in regular dictionaries.
