I saw her when walking down the street.
I saw her while walking down the street.

Are both sentences correct and have the same meaning? (By the way is this sentence correct?)

Thanks.

Both sentences are correct in their use of "when" and "while" but ambiguouse.

Did you see her whilst you were walking down the street or was she walking down the street when you saw her.

I saw her when I was walking down the street.
I saw her when she was walking down the street.

Are both sentences correct and do they have the same meaning?
