The ancient belief where/that the sun resolved arround the earth was corrected by the scientists of the modern day.

Which word should I use? Are there any errors in the sentence?

"That" is the correct word. No errors.

Well, I'd probably remove the in front of "modern day" or say "by modern day scientists".
