He should not have killed the woman he was robbing. But it was to fuel/finance his drug addiction.

Are there any errors in the sentences? Should it be 'finance' or 'fuel'?

Many thanks.

"Finance" is the better word. "Fuel his drug addiction" suggests that the man also gets high on murder.

There should not be a full stop between the words robbing and But.
But is a joining word.

Finance is the correct word.
