What is considered to be an entity with a soul?

NNY, not all dogs die.

(Some of them are already dead).

A dead dog wags no tails.
But it's soul still barks obnoxiously,
chasing dead cats up dead trees.

Is a soul any lighter when it flies from a body,
or is it just dead weight
waiting to board the astral plane?

'Filet of Soul'...hmmm....sounds like a Cajun restaurant to me....well, my dog isn't dead, just needs a feed and a walk.
