Is Germany

Is Germany united like united state of America?
I mean to wipe out the racial barbarism?

I could have taken a better subject to uphold decency .
But I wish to know your reaction about German way of life.

Be civil and think deep.

Perhaps you could clarify what you mean by "racial barbarism".

It is a federal republic similar to the United States of America.

And got unified in 1871 and in 1990.

But not united.

I would like to know what "racial barbarism" is.

There are parts of the United States society that still have barbaric racism.

Like Boston perhaps? Why did those 3 black women attack the white tourists, as they were returning to their hotel? Why did these black women try to tear the white woman's scalp off while yelling honky at the attackees?

Barbaric Germans and Indians
I was born in India where the problem is there.
I live in Germany ............ the same.
Germany and India should struggle a lot to wipe out Racial problems.
Ihope Germany will and India will never.
Iamb not interested with USA where no such thing happens.

Rama,

The US has a real problem with racism. There have been recent racially motivated murders... hate groups (particularly white supremicist groups) actually on the rise, and politicians are using arguments that take advantage of racist attitudes of some of their constituents.

The US has improved in many ways... but saying that the US has no problem with racism is simply untrue.

EBrown_P: Rama knows this as he reads a lot and follows media reports on USA. It's part of his gambit to rope-a-dope.

However, the wording of his reply (to me is unclear) whether he has written that he doesn't care about the 'parts' of the USA where this racism doesn't happen..or another interpretation.

Sorry as usual
my views are this.
Germany is not yet come up to the civilized world and i am cock sure india lags far behindGermany.
Of course i care a lot for all.
Since I had not been to USA I cannot judge/assess this problem .
I know USA thro media and thro my relavitives and friends.
But in this thread I wish to expose the country where I wish to die.

Yes, there's racism in the USA. Black on white, and white on black crimes, besides many others racial varietes.

Ramafuchs, could you please define what 'civilized world' means for you? I think Germany is a very civilized country.

Yes, there are racial incidents and we have to act against this. Are you thinking of what happened in Sachsen?

But to say that Germany is not yet come up to the civilized world is going way overboard for me.

The things that happen in Germany happen in other countries, too. This is no excuse - but if you judge by this, I'd say there are no civilized countries at all.

Boris Becker (German tennis player) once stated that he would rather live in the US than Germany due to the better racial atmosphere in the US. His first wife was black and they received a lot of hate mail from German fans of Becker.

Living in the US South, I think we have made great strides in reducing racism and we have a great way go. At least it is considered morally offensive to be openly rasict in 2007. That doesn't mean that people aren't that way behind closed doors, but it's progress.

You had better take off your blinders. Sure racism and predudice exists in the US as it does the world over. However, from where I sit prejudice and racism is far from limited to white on black. Look at people like the rabble rousing racist. Al Sharpton or Farakand and their ilk.
