Before entering the area, travelers are advised to contact a health care professional and shoot all recommended inoculations.

Is the sentence correct? What does 'shoot' mean here? Is 'inoculations' correctly used?

Many thanks.

Yoong Liat, you just gave me a smile. "Shoot" is an action word called a verb in the English language. If travelers were to shoot the inoculations, they would be taking a gun and shooting the vials that contained the serum.

This is the way that your sentence should read:

Before entering the area, travelers are advised to contact a health care professional and get the recommended "shots" or inoculations.
