Should I say "which of the sentences are correct" OR "which of the sentences below is correct" ?

Many thanks.

"Which is correct" is correct.

"Which" is singular.

Does the above sentence apply regardless of how many sentences are correct? For example, there are two correct sentences below.

1. He is stupid. (correct)
2. He were stupid.
3. He has ate.
4. He has eaten. (correct)

Do I still use the 'is' version?

Many thanks.

Interesting.

1: Which of the sentences are correct. This would imply that there is more than one correct sentence.

2: Which sentence is correct. This would imply that only one sentence is correct.

note how I have refered to more than one sentence in 1. Ie sentences

Are belongs to the plural form.

Is belongs to the singular form, even though there is more than 1 sentence to select from.

You can say "Which are correct" I don't think it has anything to do with singular or plural - it's a relative pronoun ... for example: Which ones do you want? Which of these are of interest to you?

Context, context, context.

Context is very useful.
