The running boy is my son.

Is the sentence correct?

Yes it grammatically correct, but since I do not know you or your son, I cannot say if it is factually correct! Smile

I think the sentence is awkward even if it is grammatically correct.

Person 1: Do you know those boys?

Person 2: The boy running is my son. I do not know the others

My sentence feels less awkward (to me) but your original sentence and mine are grammatically correct.
