Did anyone see the news clip on GMA this week that talked about why people yawn?
News Clip
It was very interesting and said there are two reasons for doing it - one has to do with cooling the brain and the other has to do with it being contagious. It made me very conscience of my yawning this week and others around me yawning. Here is another site with yawning facts -

Just reading the website makes me yawn!
Interesting!
I remember reading almost the exact opposite theory not too long ago, probably in Smithsonian.
It said that yawning was a way to communicate "all is well" indicating that it was okay to relax. I'll have to see if I can find that....
It's absolutely contagious. I did my own personal study for fun, for years, on buses, el trains, doctors' offices, etc.. Just start yawning, at anytime, day or night, in a closed room with at least one other person. It's more fun when there's at least five people.
a-ham.
just reading this topic's subject made me yawn, really..
Now, it's cute when we do it to babies (yawn, so that they yawn...).
They're the cutiest when yawning...
Yawning is all there is if one drops out of the-

thread just when it shows some signs of having a practical use.
