PATERSON -- Someone stole 1,000 gallons of water from Daisy Valdivia's backyard. And they didn't spill a drop.

Valdivia woke Wednesday morning to find that her family's inflatable pool, hip high and 10 feet in diameter and filled with water, was stolen from her backyard in the middle of the night. There is no evidence that the water was poured out, pumped out, evaporated or drunk

Read the rest of the article and then try to explain how it was done.
I'm stumped!!

"I just want to know what the heck they did with the water," she said.

What she asked is hilarious. I also want to know what "they" did with the
water. I have no idea mysteryman how they did it. I could only guess without being there and knowing the facts.

cyphoned with a very long garden hose into a drain? That's how you empty a water bed. It doesn't take very long at all.

I'm thinking garden hose as a syphon - leading to the municipal drain. Shouldn't take all that long.

really...doesn't seem like a mystery to me.

could've been drained right into the sewer drain in the street.

what kind of "evidence" to you need that something was drained?

4 hours would be awfully tight with a syphon (at least with a typical garden hose). Adding a small eletric pump to the mix would cut it down to less than 30 minutes though.

We've got water trucks that hold 82 bbls. You can't believe how quickly they can suck up enough water to fill it.
