Albert Ellis, the larger than life, totally irreverent psychologist who taught that people have the ability take hold of their lives through the way that they thought about things, passed away, at the age of 93.
During my student and working years, I had the great pleasure of sitting in on a number of Ellis' professional seminars. Although his choice of language could be off putting to some, I found that his methodology made a lot of practical sense.
I think that the world has lost a great man, who was one of the most important psychologists of modern times.

Ive not heard of him but I like the way he thinks.A sad loss when an intriging mind dies.
What a great guy he was! Living life to its fullest extend and I loved
his ABC approach.
I found
this feature on Ellis in New York Mag last year quite interesting.
