"We say in full confidence that we are able, God willing, to take the responsibility completely in running the security file if the international forces withdraw at any time they want."
-- Iraq Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki
Okay then.
We're moving out at the end of the month.

I am able to mow my lawn with an egg beater.
I've been addicted to recreational reading for sixty-odd years--but I can stop any time I want to.
Addicted to and the joy of reading
Without joy in what we are doing or reading life is just marching on of passing time.
I am making soap bubbles.
I let them float for awhile then catch them between the fingers of my left hand and put them back in the bottle.

I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air,
They fly so high, nearly reach the sky,
Then like my dreams they fade and die.
Fortune's always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air.
Hey, Ed:
When we move out at the end of the month there are a few things that won't fit in the new place.
Can we park those in your side yard for a couple of months?
Joe(thanks in advance)Nation
Does this go in here...? That right?
We can start packing anytime.
Does anyone know where we can get a billion moving boxes and tape?

Of course. Me being Texas trailer trash, nobody will even notice.
Thanks. I figure about 94,000 Humvees, a couple thousand crates of portable armour (unused), 250,000, give or take, boxes of short range radios and night vision goggles.
Oh, and one 1990 Ford F-150 with it's hood off.
Joe(still starts but won't run)Nation
No problem, but, you will have to stack them all in a neat pile.
See you on the second.

When I see this thread title, I think: are they able or is god able?
It's an out, K, it's an out. Well, things aren't going well. It must be Godswill.
Joe(let him kum by yah)Nation
Yeah, that's how it reads.
And, of course, the day after he said the above quote his handlers were mealymouthing around about how he had been misinterpreted.

that's an interesting factoid noddy
even a lot of hispanics don't know the source of the word ojala
Panzade--
At one point I was a trainee cook in a Middle Eastern restaurant. The owners were Arabic and I heard, "Insha'allah" quite a bit.
With Allah on the job they felt they could skimp on bookkeeping and other tedious chores.
