All her life, my sister has had a large raised mole on her chin. It is about 5 millimetres all the way around and she hates it. She thinks that it makes me feel unattractive and what's more she often worry is that one day it may become cancerous. My mum says because she had it all her life it'll probably be fine because it's sort of like a birth mark, but that still doesn't solve that fact that she hates the way it looks. Whenever she meets someone new she can always tell that they are looking at it and it makes her feel self-conscious and embarrassed. She wants to have a surgery done to remove it however she is a bit afraid of the doing a big surgery? Huh she found a website http://www.jdhealthcare.com/plastic.html#19 where she got some informations about Rhinoplasty but does removing a mole be counted as Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is a nose job.

Lithium, welcome to A2K. Rhinoplasty is when one has cosmetic surgery on the nose to improve its appearance.

You might want to amend your sentence to read"...she thinks the mole on her chin makes her unattractive..."

Rhinovirus is the common cold.

I think you meant cosmetic/elective surgery and yes it is.

Yes, it is what, Bella?

Excising a mole from your chin isn't having Rhinoplasty (but I don't think you meant that it is).

Lithium, your sister should consult a medical doctor who is a specialist in dermatology.

Maybe if she has the mole removed from her chin people will notice how attractive her nose is.

In that case, yes, it would be considered rhinoplasty.

See, you have to emmerse yourself into the essense of the poster. Then you will truly know what they are REALLY asking.

Just dispensing some of my wisdom.

I said "I think you mean cosmetic/elective surgery and yes it is" meaning it is cosmetic/elective surgery.

Hello everyone, thanks for your responses, well, I made a mistake, the mole is rather on her nose and not on her chin Embarrassed sorry for the misunderstanding but I am trying to correct the mistake however I am not being able to do so!! Then form what I understood, it'll be a sort of Rhinoplasty then? Can it be remove through other means?

The fact that the mole is on her nose shouldn't affect the procedure involved. It is a dermatologocial matter (skin). Rhinoplasty involves bones and is a reshaping of the nose. The mole would be removed from her nose the same way it would be removed from her chin, her neck, or anywhere else.
