Whatever ever happened to...

This is a fill in the blank thread.

Silver screen actors? Musicals and music that made you feel good. Old fashioned values. Innocence... Has the psychology of the world culture and art changed for the better in the last forty years or has it just gotten worse?

Is there a new morality movement on the horizon in the younger cultures of tomorrow?

What did ever happen to...

Just for clarification: what exactly is "the world culture"?

Those punks hanging round on random squares, with their mohawks and bottles of beer? Did they adapt and become upstanding citizens? Drop out and die? Are they still being punk, but in the privacy of their own homes? Have they turned into social workers? Security staff? Stockbrokers? Bricklayers?

I have reliable information that indicates one of those nefarious dutch mohawks is currently residing in hungary. It is rumored said individual has at times been busy on the internet, spreading his worldview around. While the reports are unclear, a nickname that sounds like 'mini' , 'swahili', or 'walibi' has been associated with this individual, although he currently uses another alias.

This can be a substantive discussion. Has culture changed for the better?

I tend to think it hasn't. Yet principles may be on the rebound. Teen pregnancy is down...

Is that due to contraceptives or abstinence?

Whatever happened to waiting till marriage before making children?

If MTV really is the world culture, then we should have died a long time ago.

The latter still happens. The former still happens. Most people don't go to Church on Sundays, because they're not Christian. It's simple as that. Why should we adhere to the Christian culture?

It may not be your culture on MTV but look around. Millions of teens are glued to it... (instead of sunday school)

This is what the left wing LIBERAL agenda has brought us to.

Hollywood and big business tearing down our morals till we have a completely corrupt society...

Where are old fashioned virtues? It has been replaced with modern road rage...
