One cliched characteristic of Canadians is that you are a very polite people with a generally civil society.

Please take the gloves off and tell us what you thing--but be prepared for a certain amount of outrage.

Good luck.

We are different because we can sit back and laugh about how ignorant you Americans are, especially when it comes to politics.

We have 42 ways in which to say we're sorry, Americans sadly, never admit to it, ever.

We like to use the unessesary U in so many ways.
(The other day I saw a new apartment complex named Anne Arbour - had to giggle at that one.)

Our national pastimes are hockey and beer - while Americans choose the watered down version of baseball and bland p*ss water.

Our heros - as witnessed by the great debate raging in the country at present -"The Greatest Canadian" http://www.cbc.ca/greatest/ - are scientists, politicians, a cancer victim and of course Wayne Gretzky. While Americans tend to honor celebrities.

..........And we are unabashedly more liberal, in every sense of the word.

All I needed to know about Canada...

No, seriously, I'd like to go to both America and Canada. You people all make me laugh. In a nice way, obviously. Smile

Really? Is there a story there, or just random hate? (Love to hear a story that ends in someone hating the French...)

Let's put it this way, politely, of course. The French hate Quebec, real Canadians hate both. Both 'countries' are nice places to visit, but nobody really wants to live in either, unless of course, you speak French, or Quebecois, which is technically a dialect.

WHY!!!!????

I thought ya'll would be all up in one another's grills, so to speak. (Not quite sure what that may mean, but it seemed appropriate.)

Translation: I thought with all the French heritage shared and stuff, you guys would be simpatico.

Why do the French hate Quebec? Why do real Canadians hate the French AND Quebec?

Lets also not forget that the US National Guard goes on full alert every time there is a 'separatist uprising' in Quebec. I'm guessing it's for the chance to get natural resources, not because of a real threat. Razz
