If I want to talk about "the Moon" or "the Sun", are they capitalized?

If I want to talk about "a moon" or "a sun" (as in, does that planet have a moon?), is it lower case?

Thanks.

There is no correct answer; this is a question of style. The widely used AP (Associated Press) style guide says sun and moon are not capitalised.

@gib99,
I tend to capitalise by locality. The Sun, A sun - The Universe, A universe.

@roger,
In this case, it's a verb; an action word.
