Hello everyone,
I was recently at a debate camp that lasted 5 days.
I met a beautiful girl there, she's perfect.
She's a bit introvert which I find cute.
She, by the looks, is cute and beautiful, and so is
by her performance. The problem is that she is
16 and I'm 14. We had nice talks there and I would
really love to continue talking to her. She lives
1 hour from me which I don't think is much of a problem.
I really don't know how to talk to her without sounding
stupid or without sounding like a tryhard. Last night
I was talking to her, we had a nice talk but it was
mostly based around school. And out of all of these
I guess the biggest problem is that she thinks I'm
1st grade while I am 9th atm (She's the 2nd grade ), and I don't know how
to tell her that without removing every chance >.<
I don't know does it help but as it was mostly highschool camp people
thought I was 3rd-2nd grade there which I find complimental in a way.
Please keep in mind that I'm a shy person when it comes to this.
Thank you very much.

P.S in a country we live in, 9th grade is almost the same as 1st grade in highschool in e.g America/England.

@Unnamed,
You don't mean first grade in America. For us, that's full of 6 year old children. You mean freshman year, also known as ninth grade, which is generally 14 year olds.

Be that as it may, if you cannot tell this girl how old you are without there being dire consequences, then she is far from perfect. Discussing your age is something that should be totally consequence-free. I suspect it's more likely that you're just terrified that if you contradict her in any way, you'll blow your chances.

This is what boys have been thinking about girls since people were wearing animal pelts and living in caves. It was rarely true then, and it's rarely true now.

Have a little confidence in yourself, and in this girl.

Be nice, be polite. And for God's sake, ask for her contact information.
