This lack of courtesy and basic human respect for people who disagree with us is a disease. I see it more with people on the Left than the Right. Even our president feels fit to be a dick to R's for no good reason, when there is zero chance that it will help him get what he wants, but he does it to rev up the peanut gallery. Make no mistake, I dont agree with the Right the majority of the time, but 50+ years on this planet has taught me that they tend to be better people. If I had to pick to go have a drink with a R or a D I would pick a R, because while I would disagree with her almost as much as I would with a D we would be much more likely to be able to enjoy each other.

And I am not even a R. I am an EX-L, kinda like a lapsed Catholic (Complete disclosure: 3 years of owning a business has been a real eye opener, I am moving towards R). I stopped being a L for some very deliberate reasons, I could no longer look at myself in the mirror and claim to be a L, I was disgusted. Meanness and a lack of honesty at every level to include individual (seeing if people tell truth to themselves, or even are willing to do so on special occasions) created such a stench that I had to vacate.

Dems only drink about half of their party's "Koolaid". R's drink it all and let someone else tell em that it was good.
