Would using the term filly/fillies be an insult...?

Would using the term filly/fillies be an insult or clever word play if I use the word for a poll title regarding millennial aged young women?

Possible working title:
Millennial Fillies?

Yeah, someone is bound to feel insulted.

Pardon my ignorance, but how is "fillies" a play on words in your title?

@InfraBlue,
Poor choice of words all around. I was wondering as a marketing exercise/appeal if Millennial Fillies was worse or better then Millennial Mentors (a more practical title).

There is no problem at all...except for one minor change. Make the poll be about young female horses...and you are home free, Tsar.

I think that the word filly is out of date in this modern world. I used it only the other day to compliment a lovely young lady behind the counter at MacDonald's, and she immediately gave me a fishy type meal.

It was very nice, but I actually wanted a meat based dish.

@tsarstepan,
I think the proper and acceptable term, nowadays, is "bitches."

Thanks, Layman. Although you will probably pick up heat for that...I needed a laugh this morning. And that comment gave me a great one.

(Hummm, I suspect I might pick up some heat myself for doing the laughing!)

Yeah, you might, at that. I have come to the conclusion that many people here are quite SERIOUS and don't take kindly to humor. Of course, it's NOT humor, and anyone who laughs is obviously not someone with a "sense of humor," but rather a despicable, misogynistic, chauvinist pig, like you, Frank.

That very probably wouldn't be acceptable with IMDb.com or its parent corporation, Amazon.com. They most likely wouldn't publish a poll suggestion about empowering female television characters of the millennial generation entitled, Millennial Bitches.

@tsarstepan,
"Filly" sounds a bit too Hooray Henry to me.

What's wrong with "Millennial Women?"

@izzythepush,
yup - Millenial Women is a better option

filly/fillies just seems so colonial and out-of-date

I went with Millennial Mentors because ... alliteration. Millennial Women sounds a tad too practical and stuffy. I already have relatively low 1,138 per poll voting average because my polls end to the esoteric side of independent, foreign films and documentaries. I'm in the process of creating this year's version of last year's Animated TV daughter as role model?

Okay.... That one is a really practical title with presently 3,113 votes.

It's not live or anything. It only contains female characters. WE have a 35 option maximum and since most of our polls are male centric, I decided to give a little balance towards the other lesser served gender.

What do you think I should call the poll suggestion?

@tsarstepan,
are the characters mentoring others?

@ehBeth,
The question at hand is which of the characters could a young viewer of the respective television series best consider a relatable and noteworthy idol to emulate.

The characters don't have to be perfect or actually mentor other characters on their respective television shows.

@tsarstepan,
I didn't understand the mentor business - don't make me try to be funny.

@tsarstepan,
What's the age range of people who use IMDB and do the polls?

(I have an idea but it would only really work for 2 particular demographics)
