Hi, I was giving a half Siamese (male) kitten who is almost two months old. My problem is that he attacks, bites, and scratches family members. He does this constantly, However after one hour he will snuggle in our laps and fall asleep. My mom wants to get rid of him and I want to change his behavior. Can anybody diagnosed this problem?

You mean apart from the fact that he's a kitten?

Don't encourage him to bite people with rough play. Give him things that he will attack rather than you. Provide him with scratching alternatives, like a scratching post, and teach him to use them. Use behavioral modification techniques to encourage good behavior (treats) and discourage bad behavior (squirt guns work well -- buy a bunch and keep them around the house).

This also works for toddlers.

Hi flash47. What do you do to tire the kitten out? Your kitten needs lots and lots of active play time when he's that young.

There's nothing wrong with your kitten. He's a kitten. Just like any baby/toddler he needs play time and stimulation.

I could get in trouble if I wrote down much more of my 'advice'.
