Good morning. Very Happy

New Question: Early seventies

She sees him leaving her apartment building and, with her arms full of groceries and flowers, runs after him and tells him he must stay for dinner. She has baking potatoes, chives, etc., and home-baked pie and steaks. She used all her ration points to get the steaks. He answers, "What kind of pie?"

Early 1990's film.

One man attacks another man in an elevator. After they fight, the man who started the fight throws down a pair of woman's panties and tells the other man, who is now on the floor of the elevator bleeding, to use them to clean himself up.

No, no, no, to your guesses, Raggedy.

Here's a clue

He has been conducting an investigation. He begins to think that the man he is investigating has been sleeping with his wife after he sees his wife, and the man who is the subject of his investigation, together in a restaurant. When he questions her about it later, his wife lies to him and does not mention the meeting she had with that other man in the restaurant, further fuelling his suspicions.

Was Robert de Niro in it?

Hey!! This is a great thread.

I have been led here by forces I do not understand. I have scrolled past "Film" so many times on my way from The Circle to The Pit that if I had $50 for every one I would be on easy street.

ff-

How do you interpret "clean himself up"? He had obviously brought the panties deliberately. And he had no doubt thought of other fates. And I don't think he suspected. He must have been sure.

And he expected to win the fight. He hadn't read Ulysses.

I don't know the film.

Thought a Recap might be helpful. (Haven't learned how to do the "quote" yet. )

"Guess the movie from the scene/description. The first person to guess the movie correctly will then ask the next question, or, if they wish, may pass. We will then start the next round with the first person who posts a scene.

After three wrong guesses, we may ask for a clue. "
