All the pics I have shown were taken by my son-in-law. I have quite a few more, on my wife;s camera. Haven't been able to download them, as yet.

When I first visited Black Hawk and Central City, they still had the feel of a couple of old mining towns, with some casinos.

Now, some 15 years later, the big casinos have taken over, and the towns have been overdeveloped. The charm is gone.

Me too, old europe! I am just looking at the pictures - they're so nice, edgar.
I love Colorado, especially up in Estes Park and around Boulder - it certainly
is a beautiful piece of land there. A second Switzerland!

Unfortunately, none of the other pics were good enough to put up. Thanks for the interest. My daughter did send a few pics of interest about a week ago. I will need to move them to photobucket first.

These photos were made by my daughter after fire threatened her place of employment. The black color in the hills is what it looks like after the fire was out. This is close to a month ago.
