I am female. My political alliance is Democrat and faithful steadfast Liberal. I am fascinated by different ethnic groups, cultures, and the entire of humanity. Some of my interests are High Energy Theoretical Physics, Literature, Sociology, History of the World and particularly my species, Homo Sapiens. (I'm still scratching my head trying to understand the monumental absurdity of the GOP's Tea Party. To think such IGNORANCE has remained with us so long, consuming the Speaker of the House, John Boehner!!) I suppose in a way our American political culture will have to suffer through this human blight called the Tea Party until we've collectively had enough.
Some additional interests are Philosophy, Classical Music, Rap, traditional style Jazz, Poetry, Political Science, foreign and domestic policy, Middle East....Israeli vs Palestinian conflict; Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. I am a non-believer in gods...believing there is no predetermined purpose for Man's existence....each species exist to procreate after its own. I believe man to be a random occurrence in the annals of nature...." we are born, we live and we die." If perchance we leave something constructively beneficial behind after the transition, then all the better for our species.
I believe absolutely in the existence of a higher intelligence...superior to our own... in other galaxies within the Universe. Our home, Earth, has only been around for a tiny while compared to the rest of the Universe....it is approximately 4.5 Billion years old.....it is young in contrast to other galaxies within the Universe, the latter being approximately 13.7 billion years since the last big bang, according to Hubble Telescope. I think it quite arrogant of us to think we are the only intelligent beings when in reality we might possibly be at the crawling stage of intelligent growth while older worlds are waiting for us to catch up, mature a little more, step-by-step. Ah, this fantastically marvelous Universe is vast, so mysterious, incomprehensible to us still....too bad we've only one lifetime to observe the many wonderful advances our species will yet conceive of and actually achieve.
My hobby is birds. I have two exotic parrots, a Congo African Grey and a Quaker. The Congo African Grey (15 yrs old) is by far one of the most intelligent of all big parrots, similar to a dog's intelligence at the age of 5 or 6 and the best speaker in the parrot world. The same way dog owners feel about their dogs is the exact same way I feel about my parrot which takes the place of the child in the family. What makes my African Grey superior to a dog is his speech; he speaks very clear and distinct and understands rudimentary sentences.
