Able to get appointment same or next day for medical problem:
New Zealand: 81%
Germany: 63%
Britain: 61%
Australia: 56%
US: 47%
Canada: 36%

Not specificed was the nature of the "medical problem" for which the individual was seeking treatment.

So essentially, it doesn't tell us very much at all.
It doesn't distinguish routine, urgent and critical care visits.
Right. So a country where people are able to get an appointment the same day for an urgent visit, but might have to wait two days for routine visits might "rank" lower than a country where just half of the population had access to health care at all, but the portion of the population that has access would be able get an appointment, no matter whether it was an urgent or a routine visit, within 2 days.
Therefore, it doesn't really tell us very much about the quality of the respective health care systems.
Also, remember that health care will vary with region (urban v rural )of the country being evaluated.
