Amsterdam is sooo much more laid back than here. Selling sex is legal, age of consent is 12, marijuana is legal; crime rate is lower. It's only because everyone everywhere else is so damn uptight that there's so much crime! People are rebelling against the over-cautious government/s!
That's why I hate the UK... If my BF wasn't joining the RAF I'd move us out to Amsterdam immediately.
Anyway, soz, just my quick input.

Still wondering why selling sex is the "best" way to make money.
I have a pet peeve about some sweeping generalizations, when it involves stating what is "best" or "worst"
The legalization bit is pretty much obvious. Fine, legalize it. But don't tout it at the best way to make a living.

I cant speak for him, but i think he might have meant "sex is easy to produce (almost everyone has the required hardware) and you can just start doing it for money"
basically, sex is easy money, which could be hard to tax if prostitution was legal.
So instead of people makin easy money off of sex, they make them getting easy money turn into the government gettin easy money through prosecuting them for it, how do they even regulate natural behavior? holy **** i hate government more and more everyday. i need to quit thinking laws are based of common sense and logic.

Talking about cupcakes, did anyone notice that the A2K icon - the little square icon that appears in your favourites/bookmarks, or up on the web browser tab you have the site open on, looks a lot like a cupcake? A blue cupcake with a gold pearl on top - but still, a cupcake.

Haven't read the whole thread, so sorry if this has already been said, but, coming back from Amsterdam recently, where we worked with the municipal officials for 10 days I can officially announce here that both the Red Light District and marijuana are about to vanish from Amsterdam. 40% of the RLD will be closed down this year, rest to follow later. Smoking, including marijuana, will be banned anywhere inside in a few months. Smoking marijuana outside is already illegal, so that's it for Amsterdam as you knew it so far.
