Whoo hoo! Very Happy Very Happy

We looked at every possibly SUV and crossover out there.

What the hell is with a Yukon? Good god, you could service the entire Metro area with that thing. Yikes.

And I had no idea the Navigator looked so much like a ginormous hearse.

Anyway, we've decided on the newest crossover, the Ford Edge.

It's a pretty sweet ride if you ask me. Drives nice. Looks nice. Gets decent milage.

Pretty geeked up about not having my trunk explode when ever we travel.

Ok, now it looks like we will be getting the black. It was the one we liked best but because we already have a black car, sort of poo pooed it.

However, apparently these are hard to get and there wasn't anyone in the dealerships region who had the grey one with the options we wanted. Mad And we just got a call to tell us that a black one just rolled off the truck.

Fate?

Must be. Smile

The only thing I don't like about black cars is they seem to show the dirt more. I have a garage
but my cars have to stay outside so I end up washing them a lot. Hope you like your new car.
I always like that new car smell.

Maybe it is fate Very Happy

Why did you decide the Edge over the Murano and Highlander?

Either way, a good looking vehicle.

Didn't want a Toyota.

And Murano was out of our price range for what we wanted in the car.

We're getting a fully loaded (minus the nav system) Edge for a great deal.

I think black is the best color for that...they're sharp. What options?

heated leather seats
panoramic vista roof
trailer tow (whoopeeeee)
18" chome clad wheels
reverse sensing system
sirius radio
audiophile 6 cd changer

Basically the top of the top minus the navigational system which was an extra $2000, the DVD system and the black roof top cargo rails (you can't get with the panoramic moon roof).

We're getting the SEL Plus

Edge SEL Plus

God I hope the financing goes through....

Wow, now I know what I am missing. Sounds sweet, especially the heated seats. The reverse sensing system I had never heard of so I clicked it and
I didn't even know cars had that.

It beeps if you are going to hit something.

With the discount we get, not having all those options was the difference of like $50 a month. So we figured, pimp it out.

Very Happy

Nice...$2000 for a navigation system is nuts. You can buy one for $500(that attaches to your windshield) that's probably a lot better. Sounds like a sweet truck!

Are you financing through the dealership? If you are, you should check rates locally, and apply to see what rate you can get on your own.

Also be prepared for them offering aftersell products when you pick it up: extended warranty, Gap insurance(which makes sense with little or no $$ down, also check to see if the local banks offer it), paint & interior protection, life & disablity credit insurance, tire & wheel warranty, LoJack, ect.

They still have products they offer with leases. Not as many though, and it obviously depends on the dealership. But takes care of the financing headache.

I haven't ever leased a car but I heard it can work out to be a good deal.
