I don't think that's true any longer, gunga. At least in some parts of Africa, AIDS is killing far more people than malaria. To my knowledge, we still haven't identified the animal reservoir for that particular killer.

Apparently, there's a big question as to whether AIDS is even a real disease or more like the thing Victor Borge described when he claimed he had an uncle who invented the cure for which there was no disease, and caught the cure and died. Malaria for sure is real and kills far more people than AIDS does.

The girls are ok at hunting, but Gunga and the boys probably hunt more like THIS.

and we were just talking about tomboys in another thread.

i think by the time you've taken down an elephant with a bow, you've made the passage from tomboy to tom-man...

Funny! ASSUMING the rifle was actually sighted in properly, which is a big assumption, the problem is that the rifle is lever action and probably large caliber and the deer was likely 140 or so yards away and the guy didn't try to compensate for bullet drop in the excitement.

He's an idiot. Three shots at a stationary object where you can see the rounds hitting behind the target and he can't compensate... drunk or stupid (probably both).

Unless animals kill the hunter as often as the hunter kills the animal, it's not "sport", it's just slaughter.

No predator goes after prey which could kill it half the time and most will avoid prey animals which could kill them even five percent of the time. A predator which didn't obey that rule would not live long enough to reproduce.

So you see this hunting behavior as natural predation?

Does that mean the little huntress is gonna eat that whole elephant herself now, or drag it back to her clan for elephant burgers.
