Homemade (sauteed) pot stickers - made with chinese bao dough filled with pork chau siu, diced water chestnuts, diced pickled green beans, minced garlic. Kind of a surprise, very delicious - and I had given up on making bao a couple of weeks ago when I got tired after cooking the pork and making the dough and finding it hard to roll out. So, I froze the pork and put the dough in the back of the refrigerator and let time pass.

I will do this on purpose next time..

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
Sounds good to me..

though it's tough to beat my favorite meatball sandwich place ever ever ever -
Bay Cities grocery in Santa Monica. Too bad they don't deliver to New Mexico.

Last thing I ate was a piece of fresh pineapple that I was in the process of peeling and dicing. Where has fresh pineapple been all my life?

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I do and I don't.. and of course I'm older, so I should have a handle on the kitchen by now. I was reading some mexican recipes today and they all sounded both wonderful and too complicated for me. But, I saved the links in case I work up the energy.

@ossobuco,
Yeah back in the days of Pogo Spades tournaments....I became great friends with a man from Texas...He was a really, really good chili cook-off champ...

He gave me a recipe, and the computer crashed about 3 days later... Sad

I would go back from time to time over the years but I have not even seen or heard from him again Sad

He was the first man to ever get me to the master level with his skills and mine...

That just reminded me of that with the Mexican food and Texas Chili...

Thank you Osso! Hey! You never took me up on that baseball debate after you set the challenge...J/K...

I can't wait...something about football this year did not seem the same...was just wondering if anyone else felt that or if it was me?
