reading the causalities, I'm wondering is it our surge or theirs?
It's our utter stupidity.
'surge' implies a short, sharp rise in intensity.
The proper word for what's going on right now is 'escalation.' It isn't short or even that sharp. Just throwing more troops at the problem without any significant change in plans or leadership.

The sickest part about all this is that he knows it.
Bush would rather have a failed state as long as he can secure the oil. Imagine a unified Iraq telling us to get the hell out. You think Bush would leave? After building 15 permanent military bases and a gigantic U.S. embassy?
It seemed to be going so well for almost 3 weeks.......it was all over Fox news radio.....now I haven't heard too much about it....
