A tidbit from today's Seattle Post-Intelligencer:
"It's pretty clear the administration has designated Tenet as the guy to fall on his sword and that's phony baloney because U.S. officials knew," the man huffed. "It's pretty clear there was no basis for this war. There was no tie to al-Qaida. No weapons of mass destruction. We haven't found anything. I think it means we've been brought into this war under false pretenses."
The man is Rep. Jim McDermott of Seattle. Here's a link to the whole column:

OK, kids, have at it!
Bush is bush-league -- and what can one expect from a bush-league president?
Bush-league decisions and bush-league reactions to errors.
If this administration actually thinks the fact that Saddam was removed is justification enough for the war -- WHY NOT SIMPLY SAY "WE LIED, GODDAM IT, WE LIED. BECUASE WE KNEW SADDAM HAD TO BE REMOVED, AND WE KNEW WE HAD TO LIE IN ORDER TO GET THE AMERICAN PUBLIC TO GO ALONG WITH US ON THIS PLAN.
WE LIED!"
Frank, If this administration was truly "bush-league," they wouldn't have been able to destroy so much in less than three years. They're in the majors for destroying everything they touch. c.i.
