the sewage flowing into our streams and rivers contain some nasty "gender benders" a/t my neighbour who is a retired microbiologist and worked for the ontario ministry of the environment doing water-testing - horror stories !

Yes, really freaky.

Says she who just an hour ago bought a tin of All Natural Wild Herring Fillets in Tomato Basil Sauce (brand name is Bar Harbor). Hmm, produced in Canada for Look's Gourmet Food Company.

I bring this up because I'll probably put those in a soup concoction.

Hamburger, the fish selection here in New Mexico would send you into advanced Deprivation.

I love the phrase "Indifferent Flounder".

I haven't read previous posts, but would suggest some sort of stew where the fish can either simmer in a spiced sauce or fall apart in a soup.

I'm not sure about flounder in soup... maybe only gentle simmer at most, fish added after the rest of the soup is cooked. Or, is it sturdier than I am thinking? (I'm not familiar with flounder besides having heard of it.)

Hamburger & Spawn--

I've been thinking chowder, but flounder is a fragile fish...

Osso--

I grew up inland and have no memories of standing in my mother's way while she cooked fish.

Littlek--

Your instincts are good.

In a soup, the fish would dissolve - is that a bad thing for something you're indifferent to?
