I'll post a few photos from Athens that most will recognize.

The Parthenon.

The Plaka is a special place in Athens where all tourist end up going to eat at a sidewalk restaurant or to buy some trinkets at the shops. It has it's own personality, and once visited, it stays in your memory forever. People returning to Athens always visit the Plaka. c.i.

Here's some interesting facts about the Parthenon. All the columns are different size to make it look visually equal in size. The base where the column sits is curved to make it look visually straight. These are techniques used by the architect who designed the Parthenon over two millennia ago. The Turks used it for a ammo dump, and destroyed most of it. c.i.

So the first photo is an archeological museum in Athens? I am as usual confused...were these columns there first, or did I miss that?
