So, at 19 months Keetah decided she'd like to learn to use the potty.
All's going well, except that she uses the potty every fifteen minutes.
Good on the one hand, that she's learned control.
Bad on the other, that the entire day revolves around Keetah and her pee.
Obviously, she's figured out a great way to get attention. The question, though, is how do we wean her of this habit, or do we just have to wait for the novelty to wear off on its own?
How long has she been on her new mmmm schedule?

Good luck, DrewDad!
Can you keep her naked during the day where she can ONLY go potty because there is no diaper on?
This helped little Bean get over the novelty QUICKLY...
Oh, she's nekkid, alright.
It's only been a few days, but that's still a lot of training potty bowls to empty and clean....
I'd liek to start potty training too. Not sure where to begin...
Every time it's bathtime, I say "Go potty" and he immediately goes... been that way since he was 1. However, it wasn't until last week he went inside his potty at bath time. He won't go on command any other time. I pull down his pants, put him on, and he just wants to pull all the toilet paper down.
You'll have to wait. Potty training is a process... I like comparing it with appearance of gray hair. You don't get a white mane overnight. Even when a child grasps the meaning of the potty, there is a long trail of accidents, over, say, 6 months.
19 months old, eh? Smart girl. This is our 42nd day of potty training. I'd say the first two weeks were the leakiest. I started at 27 months with my kids.
I think there are 2 times you can start. One is very early when they want to try but can barely talk and the other time is about 22 months.
Potty poems
(To the tune of Tinkle, Tinkle, Little Star)
Tinkle, tinkle, little tot
Sitting there upon the pot.
Any second now, you'll see ...
Sprinkle, spash and you'll go pee!
(To the tune of On Top Of Old Smokey)
On top of my potty
I sit and I wait
I know what I'm making...
Is going to be great!
Is she still going every 15, DD?
you could try a potty chart. and have it for say every hour. and then if she goes only on the hour she can put a sticker in that box. when its full its a coupon to pick out a new toy or treat at the store.
I just think it is new. Mine did that too...anything new they learned they did it over and over and over again. She will quit soon enough. I know it is exhausting though. Hang in there!
