Cicerone, according to your profile you are in Silicon Valley in California.

Nice photo of some building, by the way.

It looks like it could be in Oxford Sad -- or any other college town --gray skies, brick bldg. I think Margo is right, we should get to see a closer view of that statue. That last one was a lucky spot for me.

Y'know, I've been trying to come up with something good for #1. I thought that's how we played this game.

Oh? Is that what it is? I've been there then (ahem - a few zillion years ago). Ah, well.

I was in Brugges by accident, because I met a Belgian on the train from Paris to Brussels, and I asked him what he would recommend for a side trip. He had been on a bike tour in Southern France, and because of rain postponed his tour. He told me an interesting story about when the allies started the war on the continent during WWII. When he heard the bombers and bombs of the allies, he said that was one of the happiest day of his life. I stayed in Brugges for one night, and walked the walk. Wink c.i.

It looked English to me. But...I've never been in England, except for a few hours in the airport in London!

CI, what about putting some symbol in the titles of the Travel quizzes that have been solved...it would make reviewing easier. Any symbol you like, or the word, solved..???

Go back to your original post(s) and edit...you can edit the title. Maybe a symbol would only be confusing, for example, a plus sign. I for one would check some of them anyway to see followups. But I am already not remembering which one is the rather universal-looking governmental building....
that is not solved. Might be #5. This will get difficult when we fast get to number 37. We may not solve some for weeks. um, the mystery.......

Saying solved seems a little final. I think we need just a symbol, to say we identified, or you explained, the site in the photo. And then others will join in and talk about the place or digress or give links. Only you, the person who did the question, can edit that.

Plus we need to work out a system for others of us to post photos and do this. No bright ideas from me, except that we need them not to interfere with travel quiz 1593.

so...maybe others who do this should start with, for example, osso travel quiz #1.
Which I will do, if I ever learn how to post a photo. (smile)
