Russia Wants US Out of Iraq Now

Moscow, March 29 (Prensa Latina) Russia's President Vladimir Putin on Thursday urged once again the US government to withdraw from Iraq and start talks with all Iraqi political parties to reach consensus.

In his letter to participants at the Arab League Summit in Saudi Arabia, Putin expressed serious concern about recent events in Iraq.

The Russian president urges, among other initiatives, to speed up the national consensus process to avoid disintegration and plunge the Arab nation into a civil war, reveals a note from the Kremlin press.

Moscow considers it essential to clearly define deadlines for the withdrawal of the foreign occupation troops from Iraq.

A recent report from the Russian Foreign Ministry calls the situation in the Arab country critical and at the edge of a civil war, with unpredictable consequences for the region.

Ya Russia knows we can invade Iran soon, and they see our buildup at the Iranian border.

Could this be true? I trust the Russian government about as much as I trust the Bush administration, and it's hard to believe that even Bush could be that irresponsible. An attack on Iran would mean a large incursion of Iranian guerillas into Iraq with a great loss of U.S. soldiers. Not to mention the price of oil going sky high. That's just what the Republicans need, economic inflation.

confirmed by the RIA Novosti News Service in their article titled "Russian intelligence sees U.S. military buildup on Iran border", http://en.rian.ru/russia/20070327/62697703.html
and which says:

"Russian military intelligence services are reporting a flurry of activity by U.S. Armed Forces near Iran's borders, a high-ranking security source said Tuesday.

"The latest military intelligence data point to heightened U.S. military preparations for both an air and ground operation against Iran," the official said, adding that the Pentagon has probably not yet made a final decision as to when an attack will be launched.

He said the Pentagon is looking for a way to deliver a strike against Iran "that would enable the Americans to bring the country to its knees at minimal cost."

He also said the U.S. Naval presence in the Persian Gulf has for the first time in the past four years reached the level that existed shortly before the invasion of Iraq in March 2003.

Col.-Gen. Leonid Ivashov, vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical Sciences, said last week that the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran's military infrastructure in the near future."

The Russian report almost implies that the attack is imminent. Could this be true? If so, why have why haven't U.S. news bureaus and NPR picked up on it?

They need more time to prepare American's minds for the concept.

Remember, Iran is only accepting Euros for their oil. When Saddam started only accepting Euros it was only within a couple of months that we bombed his country into oblivion. The US (Rothschild Private Feds Bank) doesn't take this very lightly.

Their biggest buyer of oil has been paying with Euros since late last year.

The following is taken from an article, edited by Ian Mackenzie, in the independent national newspaper The Canadian.

Any U.S. Bush administration sponsored attack, or U.S.-sponsored attack, on Iran would be a disaster, not just for the U.S. but for the Western powers in general - not to mention the unimaginable suffering it would impose on the people of the region.
The full article can be read by following this link:

I would be extremely surprised if the Bush administration was allowed to even consider an attack on Iran, if it happened it would be the end of US influence in the world and would probably see attacks throughout the United States; any attack by the US on Iran would be unilateral for sure, there would be no support for any such engagement.

As for replacing the $US with Euros, I see that as a bigger threat to the US than Iran having a nuclear capability; the Bush regime is not concerned Pakistan is a nuclear power, that is something he will probably live to regret!
The US should try to set an example to the rest of the world, on combating Global Warming, instead presenting a belligerent approach with their pro-Israeli foreign policy.

The biggest threat to the United States is the Bush regime!
