Tony Snow's Cancer In His Liver

that's pretty bad.

Here on a personal level is what's worse. I had to really think about it and actually say a little prayer asking for sympathy and empathy for him. I truly have difficulty summoning up sympathy for anyone so closely related to the bush administration. I don't like that in myself, and I'm sorry and a little ashamed of myself. I was not that kind of person pre bush administration, and I bet I'm not the only person that bush and the last six years of his bullshit has desensitized.

another shameful part of his legacy.

the worst thing is, I'm not entirely proud to be an American any longer.

Hopefully Snow recovers without undue delay. I think there's little doubt that he'll get the best care possible.

I wish him and his family only the best... but I had to remind myself to be a human being in order to do it.... it used to come naturally to me no matter who a person was..... damn shame....

Politics has nothing to do with this.

Here is hoping that Tony Snow makes a recovery from this very serious condition. He has all the best wishes from everyone, from both sides of the aisle.

Between this and Elizabeth Edwards, politics is certainly giving us something to pause and think about these days.

I feel exactly like you do Bi-Polar. Tony seems like a good man. He has a very difficult job covering up Bush's screw ups. I wouldn't feel the same way if Bush or Cheney had it. Isn't that terrible to say? What would me us feel this way?
I know...Bush and Cheney doesn't give one thought to what is good for our people and our country. He is a self serving wanna be oil man.
Remember when he said that he would bring the nation and countries together.
I could go on with the ugly banter about bush, but...it just upsets me.
Anyway, don't be ashamed about your feelings. Then about 68% of the nation would have to. Your not alone.

Your right Osso. I met a girl and before long she started acting strange. The next thing I know, she called 911. I went to the emergency room. She was already delusional. She went from normal to insane because of encephalitis. She died a week later. This was a long time ago, and I hope for Tony that there is better knowledge of this disease.
I like Tony, even though I'm a Democrat.
If the cancer has invaded his liver to a high degree, he doesn't have long. Cancer would probably return after any transplant.
I have had cirrhosis for eleven years and have have learned a lot.
I just hope that Tony somehow beats this thing.

Liver cancer = death, as far as I know.

Hopefully treatment can put him in remission for a decent time.

There was a woman on my street who had what Snow has...........................colon cancer that had metastasized to her liver. With treatment, she lasted about five years with her condition, and that was about a half dozen years ago.

She had a great spirit and attitude. I think that was why she lived as long as she did, with her problem.

I realized later that I misspoke, it's colon cancer of course, that has metastasized.. but still, it ain't good. Some expert talking about it said that if it's one or two little spots, he has a better chance of surviving longer..

Thats great! I bet she was sick for the five years, whether you new it or not. Maybe cancer that Metastazises to another organ it is somehow different.
My sister died from cancer at 24. Back then Chemo was new and she unfortuenetly suffered for for about a year. She seldom let on how sick she was. Except for the things she couldn't hide like -vomiting, losing all her hair and when she could get out of bed.
Still today is a very difficult and sickening treatment. But sometimes it works.
I hope that if Tony gets Chemo it's not so terrible. If this cancer has metastasized to his lymph nodes (which it probably has) his chances aren't that great.

My mother died of cancer which was misdiagnosed for several years until thety sent her to the Leahey clinic where they diagnosed it as Hodgkins in about two minutes. Unfortunately by then it was so advanced that she was toast.

Thankfully, they had her in a relative state of remission when she passed peacefully in her sleep.

It's a shame for this Misdiagnosis. What the Doctor's misdiagnose her with?
My sister was thought to have the flu or some kind of infection. Later she had a car accident and an Exray of her chest showed a large tumor entangled in her chest cavity. We had a family Doctor back then and suing a Doctor wasn't all that common.

there were several including some wild thing about tumorouss growths
in her heart, a rare cancer which settle in the pleura of the lungs (which oddly enough killed my first wife) It was 30 years ago and I'm fuzzy on all the details.

One of my mothers' last requests was to forget about it and not pursue any sort of malpractice litigation which had been suggested by me out of anger. She said she didn't want anyone to benefit from her blood money. She was right of course and I honored her wishes.

snookered- I know that she had her "good days and bad days". I also know that her attitude was that she was going to make the most of what she had left, and she did.
