Just more bullsh!t from the gutless House of Reps.

If they had any "balls" and actually believed what they sold the public last November, they would stop the funding NOW!!!!

This bill is destined to go nowhere and the public knows it...well at least I do.

How do you propose they do such a thing, exactly?

If the bill goes nowhere, it does stop the funding. That's the beauty of it.

WHEN this bill is either veto'd by GW or does NOT pass Senate, it does NOT stop funding the present troop levels.

Quite simply, have politicians who have the courage of their convictions and words in both houses pass a bill to stop funding current and future appropriations for this war. PERIOD.

How many politicians currently in the House and Senate have the balls to back up their little words with firm action? Party is irrelevant.

It sure does stop the funding in part. Bush didn't ask for $100 billion in 'emergency' funds because they don't need the money.

It does no good to pass bills that Bush will simply veto out of hand; what is the utility in that for the Dems? There is none.

You are simply incorrect if you think that the failure to pass this bill won't cut the funding for the war. It doesn't cut the funding completely; but it's a start.

The dems know Bush will veto the bill, thats why they put all that wasteful pork in it.

I mean $300,000 for the widows of two congressmen?
How is that related to defense?
Or money for peanut storage, spinach producers, etc.

How is any of that defense related?
And didnt the dem party campaign,at least partly,as the party that was going to CUT wasteful spending?

How does the pork in this bill jibe with their pledge to cut pork?
