I was doing ok til this.

Thanks for the beautiful sentiment.

I'll leave this.

Yet once more, O ye Laurels, and once more
Ye Myrtles brown, with Ivy never-sear,
I com to pluck your Berries harsh and crude,
And with forc'd fingers rude,
Shatter your leaves before the mellowing year.
Bitter constraint, and sad occasion dear,
Compels me to disturb your season due:
For Lycidas is dead, dead ere his prime,
Young Lycidas, and hath not left his peer:
Who would not sing for Lycidas? he knew
Himself to sing, and build the lofty rhyme.
He must not flote upon his watry bear
Unwept, and welter to the parching wind,
Without the meed of som melodious tear...

From Milton's "Lycidas."

Sweet memories, mixed with tiger fights. I respected him.

Well I'll be...

I'm a bit late to this news, so reading this now makes the world not quite as bright as it was before hearing the news. Like others, Timber's posts were always ones I made a point to read. Unlike others, I often found myself nodding in agreement to him. He was his own man and I like to think he went on his own terms.

You will be missed, Timber. God speed.

So long old man! May you rest in peace. Timberlandko was the only moderator that I actually knew was a moderator. And he was good. I was actually thinking about asking if he would moderate at askingpoint, but I knew he'd decline. Able2Know was too much a part of his life. And now a little part of Able2Know had died too.

He will be remembered. So long dude!

I just found this.

Really sucks. I met timber/kevin briefly here in Madison, a really original and kind and fascinating guy. And good to the critters.

Bad news.

I just found out about Timber. I hadn't been on A2K for quite some time and had no idea.

You know, Timber and I rarely agreed on much of anything, but I learned a lot from him. I will never forget his gentle reminders of when I'd be in the middle of a fray with someone and he'd pop up a picture of someone overblowing a balloon or that heavy equipment stuck in the mud. I would always laugh when I'd see that and have to admit that he was right.

He was one of the most helpful people I've never really met. If I had a question about a computer, he was more likely than not, the first one to answer it.

A2K isn't going to be the same without him. I pray for comfort for his family and friends during their grief and Timber, I pray that you have peace eternally. Thank you Timber for all you taught me, about computers and other things!

Very sad news... Timber was a fixture on this website and helpful to every one of us. Heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Timber. I am sorry that he was taken so young. He'll be missed here and thought of often.

Kevin
My name is Amy, Kevin was my husband's "step dad" (J's son)... we had some very good times! Kevin was a warm and generous person, IN person... laughed a lot and LOVED his dogs. He would do anything for anyone in the family without hesitation. AND he was a damn good cook. Someone mentioned Kevin's politics, and most of us "kids" disagreed with him on everything too, but it never mattered! Kevin's beloved dog Sam was having a second bought with cancer in the weeks prior to Kevin's death... exactly three days after Kevin passed, Sam was put down... it was almost like Kevin wanted to go first so Sam wouldn't be afraid. We, in Kevin's family, loved him very much, and he will be sorely missed.
Amy
