Why do I adore being part of the WildClickers?

Texas betony is one of the longest blooming perennials native to west Texas. Blooming will begin as early as February and will continue through November. Throughout the winter it remains evergreen. The watermelon red blooms attract humming birds and sulfur butterflies.

Sitting here with a plate of baked sweet-potato fries and clicking.

The dogs and I will head out into the snow soon. They like this kind of weekend - lots of extra adventures.

Stradee, I should tell you that ul looks MUCH better than that photo - she is in real life - exquisite. A model no less....... No kidding.
Thanks for the flowers. We brought home one red rose from the service - red was my mom's favorite color.

I love all you guys.... Thank you for your well wishes.

It is finished, my mom is next to her husband, (my pop) and next to her father and mother and then there is her grandfather (my greatgrandfather) who is next to my Great-great grandparents who are next to my Great-great-great Grandmother. And, then there is in the same cemetary the other side of my ancestory - but, that's another direction..

Thank you all for your support - I needed it.

Good morning, WildClickers.

We're having a white Easter this year. I guess it's to make up for the green Christmas?

RED ROSE RAG
Music: Percy Wenrich
Lyrics: Edward Madden
As sung by Billy Murray

Down in the garden where the red roses grow,
Oh my, I long to go.
Pluck me like a flower.
Cuddle me an hour.
Lovie, let me learn that Red Rose Rag.
Red leaves are fallin' in a rosy romance.
Bees hum. Come! Now's your chance;
Don't go huntin' possums;
Mingle with the blossoms
In that flowery, bowery dance.

Oh, honey moon, shine on in June,
And hear me croon dis lovin' tune.
Trees and breezes cryin' and sighin' it;
Lovie let me learn that Red Rose Rag!
Sweet honey bee, be sweet to me.
My heart is free,
But here's the key:
Lock up the garden gate,
Honey you know I'll wait,
Under the rambler rose tree.

Pick a pinky petal for your papa's pride.
Beg a burnin' blossom for your budding bride.
Woo me with
That wonderful wiggle wag.
Tip to toes to tease me, and to tickle, too.
Do dat dainty dance like dandy doodle do.
Ring your rosie 'round that Red Rose Rag.

Good Easter day wildclickers!

Dan, my great grandparents and thier sibs are all interred at the Italian Cemetery. Mom, dad, grandmothers and grandfathers, uncles, aunts, and friends of the family....Holy Cross Mausoleum. When visiting, we plan an entire day - flower arrangements, fresh flowers, etc. and then visit all the lovely old gravesites {some historically relevent - Wyatt Earp and his wife interred at Olivet} then a meal celebrating dear friends and the family we were blessed with. The family bible is the last home for keepsakes - remembrance cards and a flower.

When you're ready, please post the photos of your mom.

Now why do we believe ul's a very lovely woman? Smile

ehBeth, there's still winter happenin' in Canada at Easter! Yesterday we had a bit of a Spring rain, was great!!!! There's still white caps at higher elevations - beautiful next to the blue color of of the sky.

Dan, you know the Austrian tradition- we lit a candle today for your mom.

For the traditional Easter walk we had beautiful weather.
On a clear day you can see forever: from Cobenzl to Slowakia. The mountain in the background is already in Slowakia. Old Danube even is blue.

Weather wasn't bad here either - but we only walked two minutes ...

... for the cake and coffee.

(And then more than an hour to get rid partly of the calories.)
