@spendius,

That bloke Assange (who keeps very strange company, it appears) looks too wimpy to rape anyone.
He looks as though he would be more interested in fellahs, anyway.

@McTag,
He has a funny walk too. I don't think those Swedish women would have got in bed with him with no clothes on, or just in lingerie, if he was a bus driver or a bricklayer. Do you?

Hello blighty. How are you all?
I am returning in May.

Yo PQ.

Did Honkers not measure up, or did you always plan to come back then?

Or did you drink too much, and they threw you out?

Just wondering.

Ha, so far I've only been thrown out of bars. But I would like to be thrown out of country for that reason though, it would be funny.
It was always an option to come back then, I do really like it here but I got an internship with oxford university press and some other stuff and also the artist that I was seeing before I came out here finally split up with his ex about 4 months ago so I want to test that out. Also, I am amazingly bad at my job. Well, not actually bad, but management don't like m ebecause I let the kids have too much fun. So, India on the way back and maybe Jerusalem if that's not stupidly dangerous. I am writing for timeout at the minute which is pretty cool.

@McTag,

I thought Carroll would have a good day against a weakened defence...but it was Kuyt.
Well played Liverpool, well played Suarez. Happy birthday to Kenny, shame for Fergie the Git.

@McTag,

So Fergie's spat out his dummy, and thrown all his toys out of the pram. No-one from ManU will give any press interviews.

If he and his staff had been even a little a bit apologetic and honest about Shrek's assault on the Wigan defender last week, I could sympathise with their views on Carragher's foul. But no, their hypocrisy knows no bounds. So sod them. It couldn't have happened to a nicer set of people.

@McTag,
He's got the Ignore bug Mac. I call it Mom's Apron but your version is just as good.

Great match--right result. Well deserved.

What for?? Who would swap their comfortable suburban idyll within easy reach of four star nutrient, medical and entertainment services to go to a dump like that for 5 seconds.

And the trouble, from start at the decisive moment on consulting a brochure at the travel agents, to flopping back saying, as everybody does, even when they've only been to Southport for a week, "eeeeeeeeeeeeaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!! it's grand to get back in your own bed" is mind-numbing. And that's if everything goes smoothly and you only get fucked up hill and down dale and from pillar to post in bog standard fashion.

And missing all the fun here as well.

Still--you could have a do at the Wailing Wall.

@spendius,

There was a joke recently, which I half-heard or half-remember, about a peace activist who went to speak with some Jewish fundamentalist political types and when he was asked later how he got on, he said "You might as well talk to a stone wall".

Good drama the telly recently, The Promise. Anyone else seen it? Four parts, Channel 4, all filmed on location in Israel.

@McTag,
After Coronation Street and Emmerdale everything else looks to be in underwater slow-motion Mac. Top of the ratings is like being top of the league.

Did you know that Mrs Patrick Campbell's maiden name was Tanner. "Bar low" geddit? A complete idiot. Out of his depth.

Watching Ch 4 is like watching Accrington Stanley.

@spendius,

Don't watch soaps. Although I'm a bit interested to find out what happens with the stolen baby saga on Eastenders.
(Whoops! Gave the game away a bit, there.)

Diabolical liberty, stealing another woman's baby and replacing it with a dead one. This can not end well. Not that I'm watching. I'll find out when the denouement is due to screen, and watch that.

We're watching "Silk", Tuesday nights, very good I think.

@McTag,
I drink "silk in a glass" every night.

Babies are for when they have run out of ideas. There's baby selling on Corrie. And wife selling on Emmerdale.

All the men in both were sold long ago.

Ahem...

Hello?

Old friends should be able to just pick up...

I thought I'd left it too long to post again, but I was reading some really old exchanges between us, they were so funny, and witty as ****!

http://able2know.org/topic/92414-151

Here's what I've been up to:

**** Christmas - I'll explain when you're bored of the footy.

Went to Canada for a break, -20!

Me Mum broke her ankle in 3 places.

Still acting up.

Still fat (but gorgeous).

Still giggling.

And there you have it. So, what's new with yoose?

Love

Smorgsie.

I was in Toronto - never been so cold!

And there's me - arriving in my best Marks and Spencer long cardi...

Loved Toronto though - went for brunch in The Four Seasons, troughed like mad!

@smorgs,

Well good for you, Smorgs.

I was just thinking about you recently, because my Kilmarnock Willow (tough as old boots willows are, don't worry) is doing fine and showing some catkins now.

Hello McT!

My Kilmarnock has catkins on too - but it's still bending. Trust me to have a bent tree...

If I put bulbs in a window box now, will they come up this spring?

Nice to read you again.

Tai Chi, I went through St Catherine's (and other places) on way to Niagara - do you live that way?

Sorry, no.

But you can buy pots of pre-sprouted bulbs if you're desperate. You could sink those in a window box.
Anyway, most crocus are well up by now, daffs too.
Next October for bulb planting.
