How to Care for a Teapot

There's been a recent survey that black tea is healthier without the mild!
Not that I would care...

I use tea bags also, but the pyramid bags from PG Tips (that's nearly as good as loose tea, right?? RIGHT????)

Most important I think is that you have a tea pot at all!
That's what makes tea drinking real!

Sounds alright, especially because they are made in Trafford Park

After the Second World War labelling regulations ruled out describing tea as aiding digestion, a property that tea was previously attributed, and Brooke Bond changed the brand name to PRE-GEST-TEE (Taking the main elements of PRE-diGESTive TEA). This was shortened by the van salesmen to PG, and the name stuck

Bohne--

I'm visualizing a seamless start even for complicated days.

When I get up, I'll turn the kettle on, give the dog her pills and turn her out, and rinse Mr. Noddy's snack dishes from the night before.

While the tea steeps, I'll get dressed, comb my hair, let the dog.

Then the teapot, a mug and I will head down to my computer and have three cups of tea, one right after the other.

Uncomplicated serenity.

Walter--

I can count on you for information. Thank you.

Nothing's like a nice cup of tea.
Makes everything nicer, calmer, and brighter instantly!!!

I even try to tell this to my little one, who's still drinking his tea from a baby bottle...

Noddy,

Your choice gave me a good warm grin. And your new serenity routine sounds lovely.

The teapot I use most is a simple clear one that serves two (or two mugs for me). It has a strainer built right in.
Love it. Has gotten much use in this last while.

Flushd--

I think a teapot is one of those domestic articles that become hallowed by use.

while we use teabags at home , i still prefer a pot of tea brewed the original english way - loose-leaf tea !
every now and then we go up to ottawa and have a veddy british tea at the "chateau laurier" hotel - comfy leather chairs , cuppa , dainty sandwiches and cakes - makes me feel feel like beau brummell !

"Dree is Ostfreesenrecht" = "Three is East Frisian Law": that means, when you are invited somwhere, you can stay at least for three cups tea - and these three cups have to be offered.

The Eastfrisians, btw, don't stir the tea (with cream, not milk!), but drink it to come finally to the suggery end.

If I'm ever in East Frisian, I'll follow a road to Rome and your instructions.

when we visited in east-friesland a few years ago we were given the special "brown rock sugar" (kandis ?) with the tea . put a piece of the rock sugar on a spoon , dip it in the tea and start slurping  !

a bit of dark rum or brandy can be used as a "flavour enhancer" .

'Kluntje' is the name for kandis in East Frisia - brown and white as well as "krümmel" (smallest crumbs).

In Oostfreesland mag ik wesen,
