Polls who is asking what questions.
The economy is in shambles we are mired in Iraq and Afghanistan with no end in sight and American diplomacy is nonexistent and yet the polls reportedly give Bush a favorable rating.
That is getting harder and harder to swallow. Do you believe the polls are getting it right?
Nah, but, then again, I've never put much stock in them because polls are like statistics ... !
I live in the heart of Bush country. Hard to get any perspective from here.
Statistics used properly can be helpful, but polls are a completely different animal. Most of the time, the ass is in the front, and visa-versa. c.i.
AU1929:
Here's the mistake I think the polls make. The question about overall performance is a general one, and really doesn't say what it means.
When you look at the individual questions which actually deal with specifics, Bush comes out badly.
I like the polls looking like they do, and I hope the Republicans continue to think he is loved and is a overwhelming favorite to be elected. That works for me!
