A strange statement has been made recently by a group of officers from Inspector General's Department of the Pentagon. It was said that during the latest inspection it had been found out that US units in Iraq and Afghanistan feel the lack of armored vehicles, heavy machine guns and communications electronics.
Of course, highlights of their report are secret but some points have been made public. The authors of the report emphasize that US troops have to perform combat tasks even without the necessary equipment on hand. But it is very strange to speak about shortage in delivery of military equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan, taking into account existing heinous US material superiority and constant US attempts of demonstration of sophisticated weapons there, isn't it?
Thus, it may be concluded that Americans use their usual practice in these hot spots, namely, they vandalize delivered military equipment and then resell it to local militantsÂ…Certainly they do it through their intermediary agents, in the same way as they did it in Kosovo or Chechnya. But in those cases Yankees haven't taken direct part in combat operations there. To what degree of cynicism Americans can come to in order to surprise own soldiers into getting necessary weapons in battles!
oooh sounds like the eagle has landed.
(ZC please back up your statements with sources, anyone can say anything around here)
