"Huh," said a friend of mine, "five hours? That's the same time it takes me to play a round of golf with a little stopover in the clubhouse at the end."

Luckily I own many orange things. If I manage, I'll wear them all at once.

Ferhootzed in Cambridge.

Kick: I shall put you on the list to get email alerts. Every time I make a 5K point you get a msg stating my position. Cool huh?

77th and 1st is about 17 miles in, I should be there between 1:00PM and 1:30.

Orange?

Perhaps I can borrow a vest from the township road crew--they wouldn't be working on Saturday.

Or I could pilfer a traffic cone.

I'll be there in spirit, suitably clad.

Is the orange shirt due to the ING sponsorship?
Or are you representing the Netherlands?

Joe: If it not too much trouble can I get your email updates? Would they go to A2K PM's or would you need my email address? I'll be home around noon on Saturday and can report the info here.

I have three good jerseys, the gray-black one, the baby blue one and the orange one. The in-crowd (those who will at at the 23 mile point) said "How will we spot you??" I went with orange.

Though I fail to see why they wouldn't be able to pick me out..... .

Sunday @ 10AM for those of you watching at home.

The elite men and women take off first at 10:00 and 10:10 followed by us (the great mass of humans who apparently were not smart enough to stick to softball, soccer and the winter darts league.)

I hope it wasn't me who led anyone to think the run was Saturday (the Olympic Trials for the China Games are in Central Park on Saturday but I am not in them. Sorry, USA, there'll be no 60 year old still-overweight- after-all-these-miles geezers on your team this time around) the countdown Google thingie on my home page says TWO days, but that's because it's nuts. It doesn't count today. In my head, I still use the USAF two days and a wake-up.

Friday, I go to the EXPO and pick up my number and stuff and try to get them to tell more about what we are supposed to do with ourselves from the time we get off the bus at the end of the Verrazano @ about 7AM and the start.
Then I am going to run a couple of miles in the actual gear I will wear on Sunday.

There is no true rhyme for "orange".

Or for "silver".

Gold?

Ehbeth, "Ferhootz" is an intransitive verb, therefore one cannot pass its action upon another object. You may be verhootzed, but you cannot go out ferhootzing. Im sorry I brought it up .
Verhootzed-Fer-Hootzed" a condition imposed upon the one being verhootzed .Sub, "I am worried(or confused)"

I was verhootzed about Joes prognosis in this event . at 60 years old, wouldnt taking a cab be more logical and less able to induce coronary problems or torn muscles?

Ain't it though? George is referring to the fact that we all get there and then stay there and stay there and stay there.

There are a few people involved.

Everybody's gotta have a tea.
Everybody's gotta have a bagel.
Drink some water, drink some Gatorade.

Everybody's gotta hit the porta-potties.
(Maybe a couple of times for me if it's cold.)
